Sinus Infection

On Tuesday I was diagnosed as having a Sinus Infection, and I’ve started a course of Antibiotics, since Tuesday I haven’t managed to maintain my training schedule and I’m very tired – also I’m not sleeping, which makes me more tired.

So this morning when I got this email from Peter – confirming I should be taking it easy, it made me feel a bit better about the schedule slipping…. but I really don’t want it to slip.

Hi Keith

It’s very important to take it easy when you have a sinusitis infection.

Also these antibiotics are very strong and powerful.

I would be doing no speed sessions currently.. This will put too much of a demand on your lung functions. In addition it can drag the infection further into your system.

So take it easy right now and train every other day until this has passed.

I would look just run thirty to 40 minutes at a very easy pace.

I know this is not what you want to hear but it is best practice

Let me know by email how you are progressing.

Yours in sport

Peter
